All events at a glance

Fred, Burger, Tottovic, Pensen, Labörnski and Rüdi - a band without hierarchy. This makes the Monsters of Liedermaching a fascinating phenomenon in the German-speaking rock world. But everything is actually quite simple: the six gentlemen got to know and appreciate each other as solo artists at numerous singer-songwriter festivals. More and more short tours were organized. At that time, they played one after the other, as befits a festival. Then - in the summer of 2003 at the Hamburg Rockspektakel - the spontaneous decision was made to simply put three beer benches on stage and play together. The result was spontaneous enthusiasm on both sides of the stage. The conclusion: The Monsters of Liedermaching are a band. Because together they are more than the sum of their parts. Logical, isn't it?

The year 2025 will be a very special one for the Rock&Pop Academy! Our Rock&Pop Camp will be a unique event that you can take part in.
At the Rock&Pop Camp in the Turbine of the rock'n'popmuseum you can improve your musical skills in three days!
You have the choice between three workshops: In the songwriting workshop with Dennis Buss, you will learn how to write your own songs and record them with a live band. In the music production workshop with Marc Wichmann (aka Sleepwalker), you will gain insights into the world of music production, work with tablets and produce your own music. In band coaching with Pim Weiering and Helge Dichanz, you will play with other musicians in a session band and prepare for a concert at the jazz festival in Gronau.
Each workshop offers you a unique opportunity to develop your musical skills and have an unforgettable experience.

A fidget never sits still...just dance along! The fidget show to the popular children's songs by Frank & his friends promises lots of fun and movement. On the last Sunday of every month, we team up with Volksbank Gronau-Ahaus eG to offer an exciting family afternoon filled with craft activities, lots of music, dancing and, of course, the lively fidget toy. With his unique voice and captivating stage presence, Nico Gomez has long since made a name for himself beyond the borders of his home town. As a songwriter for Peter Maffay, Johannes Oerding, Mo-Torres and Sarah Engels, among others, or as a studio singer for productions such as RTL's "Let's Dance", Nico's musicality and wealth of experience are also evident. Nico's sincere and honest lyrics touch the hearts of his listeners. His music tells of personal experiences and the meaning of love, while he moves between the genres of R&B, pop, soul and electronica.
In recent years, the artist has built up a steadily growing fan base that already sings along to his songs by heart and is eagerly waiting to experience him live in Germany's major cities.

There's another quiz evening of a special kind at the Turbine music club. Music fans can put their knowledge to the test in various categories on topics such as rock and pop, charts and dance, bands and dance. There are questions, picture puzzles, sound snippets and much more from the past 50 years of the music industry. The focus here is on fun and a sociable evening. However, there is a small prize for each team at the end and slightly larger prizes for the top three.

On September 5, the café stage of the rocknpopmuseum belongs to the Poetry Slam NewComer:innen. With their fresh lyrics, they step onto the boards that mean the world for the first time and finally give expression to their words and thoughts. A single text per act is sufficient for participation and the audience then chooses winners in the categories "Heart", "Humor" and "Depth". So it's not the "winner takes it all" principle that applies, but thematic diversity is in the spotlight.
The show starts at 20:00, admission is from 19:30.

Kaprice from Haltern am See combine rocking guitars and danceable indie pop. With their handmade German-language power pop, Kaprice have been able to thrill audiences on over 200 stages to date.
After the release of their debut EP "Nostalgie" in 2022, three more singles have followed. Most recently, the boys from NRW worked on new music with a new line-up on bass and guitar, recorded in the Maarweg studios in Cologne. In March 2025, the four will be opening for "die Lärmer" (formerly Luxuslärm) on their tour of Germany.

What Phil Siemers puts on stage with his band - and last year for the first time solo - is some of the highest quality popular, handmade music from Germany has to offer.
