On Friday, 25.10. the café stage of the rocknpopmuseum belongs to the Poetry Slam NewComer:innen. With their fresh lyrics, they step onto the boards that mean the world for the first time and finally give expression to their words and thoughts. A single text per act is sufficient for participation and the audience then chooses winners in the categories "Heart", "Humor" and "Depth". The "winner takes it all" principle does not apply, but rather thematic diversity is in the spotlight. It starts at 20:00 and is hosted by Marian Heuser alias Peter Panisch. Deeply rooted in the eighties - melodies on wide sound carpets - indie and waverock from their own pen.
There's a very simple reason why The Boysox from Lingen in Emsland always sound a bit like the eighties: three of the four band members started out as a band in 1982. The big bands of the indie genre of the time left their mark on the Boysox: U2, Simple Minds, The Cure and New Order can be heard again and again. Today, over 35 years after their formation, the Boysox are still playing together; still almost in their original line-up and they still sound like the eighties.

There's another quiz evening of a special kind at the Turbine music club. Music fans can put their knowledge to the test in various categories on topics such as rock and pop, charts and dance, bands and dance. There are questions, picture puzzles, sound snippets and much more from the past 50 years of the music industry. The focus here is on fun and a sociable evening. 2010s pop-punk paired with influences from post-hardcore and emo, that's Kings and Hurricanes.
Founded in 2020, the four guys around front woman Carina want to share their vision of pop punk and inspire the hearts of their fans with their mixture of a fresh, dynamic and diverse sound and personal lyrics.
After releasing their two singles Let It Go and This Fall, their first EP Nice was released in March 2023, featuring classic pop-punk riffs à la Blink182 and Neck Deep. Subject to change without notice.

An evening in honor of Kurt Cobain on the 30th anniversary of his death.
April 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death.
To mark this anniversary, the presenter and musicologist and sociologist Prof. Michael Custodis from the University of Münster will take a look at the "Nirvana phenomenon" and the musician Kurt Cobain from very different angles.
The audience will also have the opportunity to share their own experiences and associations with Nirvana and Kurt Cobain.
The evening will naturally be framed by Nirvana's music.

Hitverdächtig - The music comedy stand-up show!
Dr. Pop is a doctor of music.
He is established on the radio, TV, on the net and on stage.
In his live program "Hitverdächtig" he treats with music samples and curious but completely true music facts.
Hitverdächtig" features music that can save a party, a relationship or the motivation to do sport or clean the house.
Whether pop, rock, classical, pop, jazz, hip-hop or rap: Dr. Pop fires off familiar but also unknown samples from the history of music.
And by the end of the show, everyone in the audience will know how to enrich their own lives a little more with music.
