When are you open? / What are your opening hours?
We are open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00.
Do I have to register to visit the rock'n'popmuseum?
You do not need to register. We recommend purchasing tickets in advance in our online store Ticketshop
Can I only buy tickets in the online store? Do I have to buy the tickets in advance or can I buy them on the day of the visit?
No, you can also buy tickets at the museum ticket office on the day of your visit.
When I buy the tickets in the online store, a time slot of 120 minutes is displayed. Do I have to leave the museum after two hours?
No, the time window indicates the average time spent in the permanent exhibition. You can stay as long as you like.
How much time should I plan for the visit?
You should allow 1.5 to 2 hours to visit the permanent exhibition. If we are showing a special exhibition, you should allow an extra hour
Do you also sell vouchers?
We do not have vouchers in the traditional sense (value vouchers). You can buy tickets that are not bound to a specific day or time. These can be viewed as vouchers.
I have no way of buying tickets on site or online. Can you send them to me by post?
Yes, we send the tickets by post with an invoice.
If I buy the tickets to give as a gift, how long are they valid for?
The tickets are valid for three years.
I have bought tickets but cannot attend the selected date. Can I return the tickets and get my money back?
Yes, you can return the tickets. You will receive your money back after providing the transaction number and bank details.
Is the museum barrier-free?
Yes, the museum is barrier-free on all levels. It has an elevator, a disabled WC and a wheelchair ramp.
Where can I park?
On the large square (“Schotterplatz”) between the station and the rock’n’pop museum. Parking there is free and not time-limited.
How far is the museum from the station?
The museum can be reached on foot in 10 minutes.
Can we bring our dog to the museum?
Dogs are not permitted in the museum.
Am I allowed to take photographs in the exhibition?
Yes, you may take photographs without flash and the exhibits must be visible in the museum context.
How far is it from the museum to the city center?
The city center can be reached on foot in 5 minutes.
Is a guided tour required to view the permanent exhibition?
No, a guided tour is not required. You get audio guides and all the information you need on your ears.
Are the audio guides included in the price?
Yes, the audio guides are included in the price.
We are a group and would like to book a guided tour. Is that possible?
Yes, that is possible. We offer guided tours for groups of 10 people or more. The maximum group size is 20 people.
Can we also book a guided tour at the weekend?
No, we only offer open tours at the weekend. Saturdays at 15:00 and Sundays at 12:00.
How long does a tour last?
A guided tour lasts 45 to 60 minutes.
Does the tour cost extra?
Yes, the guided tour costs €4 in addition to the entrance fee.
Are the guided tours also offered in English/Dutch?
Guided tours are available in Dutch on request.
Do we have to register if we want to come to the museum with a larger group?
Yes, please contact us by phone or e-mail if you would like to come with a group of 10 or more people so that we can make a reservation.
When we visit the museum, we can also go into the room where karaoke is sung and videos are recorded.
Yes, the green box does not have to be booked separately. It is available to all visitors during our opening hours.
What is shown in the exhibition?

Yes, the Café Backstage is located in the entrance area of the museum.
What is there to eat and drink at Café Backstage?
Small dishes such as chili con carne or soups, cakes, cold and hot drinks are offered.
Can I reserve a table for our group at your Café Backstage?
Yes, you can reserve a table by telephone or e-mail.
Can I order something to eat from you in advance?
No, if you would like to order food in advance, you must contact the café operator, the Duesmann company.
