Monsters of Liedermaching – SETZEN, SEKT!

Fred, Burger, Tottovic, Pensen, Labörnski and Rüdi – a band without hierarchy. This makes the Monsters of Liedermaching a fascinating phenomenon in the German-speaking rock world. But everything is actually quite simple: the six gentlemen got to know and appreciate each other as solo artists at numerous singer-songwriter festivals. More and more short tours were organized. At that time, they played one after the other, as befits a festival. Then – in the summer of 2003 at the Hamburg Rockspektakel – the spontaneous decision was made to simply put three beer benches on stage and play together. The result was spontaneous enthusiasm on both sides of the stage. The conclusion: The Monsters of Liedermaching are a band. Because together they are more than the sum of their parts. Logical, isn’t it?

David Kebekus – Sensitive content

David Kebekus has a new program – “Sensitive Content”.
The world is turbulent, opinions clash and humor is constantly on thin ice – sensitive content everywhere. David enjoys questioning social norms, traditions and rules.
In the process, he comes across absurd trains of thought, ventures out of his comfort zone and finds new perspectives for us to deal with the crazy world. “Sensitive Content” is stand-up comedy about the weird things we have to accept as normal. The uncomfortable truth as a template, humor as a coping strategy. David Kebekus delivers sensitive content in a way that makes it fun. Refreshingly unimpressed, damn funny and sometimes on the pain threshold. Because if you play it safe, you’re not telling anything new. And comedy without risk already exists on television.

HOW DOES FREEDOM SOUND IN BLACK – RED – GOLD?

As a partner of the “Science Year 2024 – Freedom”, the University of Münster is hosting an exciting evening of talks as part of its regional initiative “Expedition Münsterland”.
Under the title “How does freedom sound in black, red and gold?”, the focus will be on the topics of freedom and German-German music history.
The year 2024 marks two important anniversaries: 75 years of the Basic Law and 35 years of the Peaceful Revolution.
The Year of Science 2024 is taking this as an opportunity to shed light on the value and significance of freedom from different perspectives.
Michael Custodis, Anna Seidel and Niklas Schwartz will take you on a journey through Germany’s musical history and shed light on how freedom can be expressed artistically – be it through sounds, texts or images.
The evening is organized by the Arbeitsstelle Forschungstransfer (AFO) of the University of Münster.
Admission is free, but registration by e-mail (anmeldung@uni-muenster.de) is requested for better planning.
The Science Years are a joint initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and Wissenschaft im Dialog (WiD). Subject to change without notice.
